Privacy Policy
AbleFit Club ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at ablefitnesscoaching.com, the coaching web app at app.ablefitnesscoaching.com, and the Able Fitness iOS app (including its companion Apple Watch app) available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect across all of these surfaces, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Name and email address when you sign up for a membership
- Payment information processed securely by Stripe (web) or Apple via RevenueCat (iOS in-app purchases) — we never store your card or Apple ID details
- Workout logs, sets, reps, body measurements, photos, nutrition entries, and other progress data you enter inside the app
- Messages you send to your coach or post in community feeds
- Support requests and other communications you send us
We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our site or use our apps, including your IP address, device model and OS version, browser type, app version, pages or screens visited, crash diagnostics, and referring URLs. This helps us understand how the products are used and improve them over time.
iOS App and Apple Watch — Health, Fitness, and Location Data
If you use the Able Fitness iOS app and/or its Apple Watch companion, we may, with your explicit permission, access and process the following additional categories of data:
- Apple Health (HealthKit) — read: sleep stages, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (SDNN), VO₂ max, mindful minutes, step count, active energy burned, body mass, body-fat percentage, lean body mass, and waist circumference.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) — write: workouts you complete in Able (strength, run, walk, bike, HIIT, yoga, swim, freestyle), body weight you log, and dietary energy and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat) you log in Able.
- Live workout metrics on Apple Watch: heart rate and active energy captured during a workout session you start on the watch.
- Precise location (GPS): only while you have an outdoor cardio session (run, walk, or bike) actively running on your Apple Watch, used to compute distance, pace, and your route map. We do not collect location outside an active workout, and we do not track your location in the background.
- Push notifications: if you opt in, we send recovery alerts, coach messages, workout reminders, and community updates.
All HealthKit and location access is gated behind an explicit iOS permission prompt and can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health or Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, or inside the Able Fitness app under Profile → Apple Health. Health data obtained through HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes, and never used for tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. It is used solely to provide the features described in the app and to share progress with your coach.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your membership account across web, iOS, and watchOS
- To process payments through Stripe (web) and Apple's In-App Purchase system via RevenueCat (iOS)
- To deliver workout programs, exercise videos, nutrition tracking, messaging, and check-ins
- To surface recovery, sleep, and activity insights to you and (where applicable) your coach
- To send transactional emails and push notifications (receipts, magic login links, account notices, recovery alerts, coach messages)
- To send monthly challenge announcements and community updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To improve the site, web app, iOS app, and watch app based on aggregate usage and crash data
- To respond to your support requests
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share Apple Health data with third parties for their own purposes. We share information only with:
- Stripe — for web payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Apple & RevenueCat — for processing and validating iOS in-app subscriptions. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase & Vercel — for application hosting, database storage, and serverless functions.
- Your assigned coach — your workout, nutrition, check-in, recovery, and progress data are visible to the coach you are paired with so they can program and support your training.
- Service providers — such as email delivery, push notification, error monitoring, and analytics tools, bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Law enforcement — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Cookies, Tracking, and Analytics
On the web we use cookies and similar technologies for site analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Meta Pixel, where enabled). You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The iOS app does not use third-party advertising trackers and does not request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency. We use first-party diagnostics and analytics only.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel, we retain minimal records for billing and legal purposes for up to 7 years, then delete them. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us. You can also delete your account directly from Profile → Account → Delete Account in the iOS app, which will remove your personal data, workout logs, messages, and any HealthKit samples written by Able from our systems (HealthKit data stored on your device is controlled by you in the Apple Health app).
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@ablefitnesscoaching.com.
Children's Privacy
AbleFit Club is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify active members of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
